A veritable tsunami of martial arts action hit Aberdeen last weekend, as our North East Sooyang Do clubs held their latest round of belt examinations at the Westdyke Leisure Centre, Westhill.
Almost 400 Sooyang Do students, from novice to black belt level, demonstrated their prowess before a group of examiners, during a gruelling two days of martial arts excellence and endurance.
With students from as young as five, taking their first faltering steps in martial arts, to experienced adults at 2nd Degree Black Belt level, everyone gave their all and left visiting Founder Master Wood to remark on the “transformative progress” of the younger students in particular, and on the pleasure of seeing everyone adhere to the traditional tenets of traditional martial arts philosophy.
